A photograph of my grandfather, Hugh Clark, who served with the Princess Louise’s Kensington Regiment and was wounded near Caen, Normandy. My grandfather survived the war and we are fortunate that many documents and photographs relating to his service have survived. While he passed away shortly after I was born, my grandfather spoke freely of his time in the army to my father and I have managed to confirm many of the stories he told by looking at the war diary of the 2nd Battalion Princess Louie’s Kensington Regiment.
